The "Rare Groove" Boogaloo Band
IMP DA DIMP is a live boogaloo band that will bring butt shakin' grooves, and soul to a dance floor near you.
Likened to the 60's music of James Brown, Dr. Lonnie Smith and Grant Green, their music also has influences from artists like Jimi Hendrix, Parliament Funkadelic and Daft Punk to name a few.
Guitarist Adam Rafferty (NYC, Guitar for Dr. Lonnie Smith, Jimmy “Preacher” Robbins, Dizzy Gillespie Big Band) spent countless late nights playing in Harlem's jazz and blues clubs. Florian Kasper (Drums with Max the Sax, Parov Stelar, Hot Pants Road Club), Felipe Ramos (Bass for Tasheeno, Jo Strauss, Fireman Crew), and Philipp Rist (Keys / Organ for Hikee Bikini, Jo Strauss, Bye Maxine) deliver delicious rhythm section grooves, and always get the house rockin!
Their new album "Deep Dark and Delicious" is their first studio album. It features original compositions by the band, 100% analog, with all the tunes played in one take - just like you'd experience at a live show.
